Discover the Admission Criteria for the Digital Pioneers of Egypt Initiative
Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has opened applications for the Digital Pioneers of Egypt initiative, aiming to equip primary school students with essential technology and digital skills as part of the country’s broader digital transformation strategy.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is continuing its efforts to strengthen Egypt’s digital workforce through the Digital Pioneers of Egypt initiative, one of the flagship programs under the Digital Egypt Generations umbrella.
The initiative targets students aged 8 to 12 who will be enrolled in grades four to six during the 2026/2027 academic year. It aims to introduce children to information technology concepts, modern digital applications, and key personal skills needed for the future workforce.
Participants will receive training designed to foster creativity, innovation, self-learning, and problem-solving while encouraging greater engagement with technology. The program also seeks to build partnerships with leading local and international technology companies to provide advanced learning opportunities.
Applicants must be Egyptian nationals enrolled in schools across Egypt, have access to a computer and internet connection, and demonstrate a strong interest in technology. Admission is based on eligibility requirements and performance in English language, IT fundamentals, and aptitude assessments.
