Egypt has made 242 digital government services available to citizens through the Misr Digital platform, with nearly 20 million transactions completed since the beginning of 2026, according to Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

The announcement came during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to review progress on directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi aimed at accelerating digital transformation, protecting public funds, and improving the efficiency of government institutions.

Expanding Digital Services for Egyptians Abroad

Minister Hindi said the government is continuing efforts to expand digital services for Egyptians living abroad while working to consolidate the delivery of public services through the unified Misr Digital platform.

He added that the initiative is designed to provide citizens with easier access to government services through a single digital gateway.

Digital Mailbox System Near Completion

The minister also revealed that preparations are nearing completion for Egypt's Digital Mailbox system, which is expected to enhance the secure delivery of official digital communications and government correspondence.

Priority Sectors Undergoing Digital Transformation

According to the minister, Egypt's digital transformation strategy extends beyond online public services to include the digitization of key government sectors with significant social and economic impact.

Priority sectors include:

• Social protection

• Healthcare

• Education

• Justice

• Civil services

• Real estate assets

• Food security

• Labor and employment

The government continues to accelerate the rollout of digital infrastructure and integrated online services as part of its broader strategy to modernize public administration and improve service delivery nationwide.
