Step 1: Open WhatsApp Web

• 8 hours

How to Lock WhatsApp Web Manually

You don't have to wait for the automatic timer.

To lock WhatsApp instantly:

• Click the three-dot menu at the top of WhatsApp Web.

• Select Lock App.

The application will immediately require your password before anyone can access your conversations.

What Happens After the App Is Locked?

When someone attempts to open WhatsApp Web after it has been locked:

• Chats remain hidden.

• Contacts are not displayed.

• New messages cannot be viewed.

Instead, a password prompt appears. Entering the correct password restores full access.

Does WhatsApp Web Lock Affect the Mobile App?

No.

The WhatsApp Web password lock is completely independent of the mobile application.
