Meta continues to expand its presence in the artificial intelligence space with a new application called Pocket, which enables users to create mini-games and interactive experiences using simple text prompts—without requiring advanced programming skills. The app is part of the company's broader strategy to simplify content creation through generative AI technologies.

A Platform for Creating and Sharing Games

The app was first spotted by app developer and reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi. According to data from AppFigures, Pocket has been available on the iOS and Android app stores since June 29, although it has not yet been released in all markets, including the United States.

Meta's support page also confirms that Pocket is being rolled out gradually and is currently unavailable in every country.

So far, Meta has not officially announced the app's launch or disclosed which countries are participating in the initial rollout. The company has also remained silent about its global expansion plans.

AI-Powered Interactive Experiences

Pocket describes itself as a "creative platform for building and sharing tools." The app appears to leverage artificial intelligence to transform users' text descriptions into playable games and interactive experiences that can be shared with others.

Its package name on the Google Play Store also suggests a connection to Project Gizmo, leading industry observers to believe that Pocket builds upon Meta's earlier acquisition of the Gizmo development team, whose technology focused on AI-powered interactive content creation.

Another Step in Meta's AI Strategy

Pocket represents Meta's latest effort to integrate artificial intelligence across its ecosystem, following the launch of its standalone AI assistant and the addition of AI-powered features across its products and services.

The new app reflects the company's vision of making interactive content creation more accessible while expanding AI applications into lightweight game development and creative tools, as competition among major technology companies in the AI sector continues to intensify.
