Samsung's Pistachio Galaxy Z Fold 8 Is Selling Out as Demand Surges for the Exclusive Color
Samsung's exclusive Pistachio Galaxy Z Fold 8 is becoming increasingly difficult to buy, with the 256GB model disappearing from Samsung's online store ahead of the end of the pre-order period.
Samsung's newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 8 is available in four color options—Black, White, Purple, and Pistachio—but the exclusive Pistachio finish is already emerging as the most sought-after version.
According to a report by 9to5Google, the 256GB Galaxy Z Fold 8 in the Pistachio color has started disappearing from Samsung's online store, suggesting strong demand for the exclusive variant.
Exclusive Color Available Only Through Samsung
While the Black, White, and Purple models are available through Samsung's retail partners, the Pistachio edition is offered exclusively via Samsung's official online store.
The soft green finish has attracted significant attention for its distinctive appearance, making it one of the standout design choices in Samsung's latest foldable smartphone lineup.
256GB Variant Faces Limited Availability
The report indicates that the 256GB Pistachio Galaxy Z Fold 8 can no longer be successfully purchased through Samsung.com.
Although the 512GB and 1TB configurations remain available, customers attempting to order the 256GB version receive an error message during checkout. Instead of displaying an "out of stock" notification, Samsung's website removes the device from the shopping cart and requires users to restart the purchasing process.
The issue reportedly occurs regardless of whether customers are signed in, browsing as guests, or using Chrome's Incognito mode.
Samsung Has Yet to Confirm a Stock Shortage
Samsung has not officially announced that the Pistachio 256GB model is sold out. However, the persistent checkout errors strongly suggest that inventory for this specific configuration is currently limited.
Availability may vary by region and customer account, but the report concludes that Samsung is likely experiencing shortages of the entry-level Pistachio model.
Buyers May Miss Pre-Order Promotions
The exclusive color is expected to return to stock, but timing could become an issue for prospective buyers.
With only around 10 days remaining in Samsung's pre-order campaign, customers waiting for new inventory may miss some of the company's best trade-in offers and launch promotions before additional units become available.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Brings a Lighter Design and AI Upgrades
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 8 during its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event alongside the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The latest foldable introduces a wider design than its predecessor while maintaining Samsung's emphasis on artificial intelligence features, improved durability, enhanced displays, and battery refinements.
Weighing just 201 grams, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is Samsung's lightest foldable smartphone to date, down from approximately 215 grams for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The redesigned chassis is also shorter and wider, offering a more traditional smartphone experience when folded.
Samsung has opened pre-orders through its official website and authorized retailers, with pricing starting at $1,900. The smartphone is scheduled to reach global markets in August, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
