Additional future models
The two sides also explored expanding local vehicle manufacturing and evaluating opportunities to export Egyptian-made Geely vehicles to regional markets.
Strong Sales Momentum in Egypt
The visit follows a period of strong growth for the Geely brand in Egypt.
According to the company, Geely's sales during the first half of 2026 matched its total sales for all of 2025, reflecting rapidly increasing customer demand and growing confidence in the brand's modern designs, advanced technologies, and product lineup.
Success of Local Manufacturing
Executives also reviewed the success of local production for the Geely Coolray and Geely Emgrand, which are manufactured at the BAMIC plant in Egypt.
The company said the local assembly program has become one of the country's notable automotive manufacturing success stories, helping improve vehicle availability while strengthening Geely's competitiveness in the Egyptian market.
Egypt's Strategic Role
Commenting on the visit, Fahad Al Ghanem, Chairman of Automobility, said the presence of the Geely Global delegation highlights the strategic importance of the Egyptian market within Geely's international expansion plans.
He added that the strong sales growth and successful local production of the Coolray and Emgrand represent only the beginning of a more ambitious phase.
According to Al Ghanem, Automobility will continue working with its partners to expand local manufacturing, increase production capacity, capitalize on Egypt's strategic location, and explore export opportunities to neighboring markets.
Vision for a Regional Export Hub
Both parties also discussed a long-term strategy to position Egypt as a regional manufacturing and export hub for Geely vehicles serving markets across the Middle East and Africa.
The plan would leverage Egypt's growing industrial base, skilled workforce, and extensive network of trade agreements that provide access to multiple regional markets.
