CUPRA Formentor 2026: Prices and Specifications
CUPRA Egypt has announced the arrival of the 2026 Formentor SUV in Egypt at a starting price of EGP 2.099 million. Available in a single trim level, the model features a 1.5-litre turbocharged mild-hybrid engine producing 150 hp, paired with a seven-speed DSG transmission. The updated SUV benefits from refreshed exterior styling, a technology-focused cabin with a 12.9-inch infotainment display and Sennheiser audio system, as well as a comprehensive range of safety and driver-assistance technologies.
CUPRA Egypt, represented by Kayan Egypt, has announced the pricing and specifications of the 2026 CUPRA Formentor, which will be offered in the Egyptian market in a single trim level priced at EGP 2.099 million.
The sporty SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged mild-hybrid (mHEV eTSI) engine producing 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the front wheels through a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.
According to the company, the Formentor accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 205 km/h.
Kayan Egypt stated that the new powertrain underwent an extensive testing programme lasting approximately two and a half years in cooperation with CUPRA’s parent company. The process included fuel sample analyses every three months to ensure compatibility with local operating conditions while maximising reliability and long-term durability.
Refreshed Exterior Design
The 2026 Formentor receives a number of notable styling updates, most prominently at the front, where a larger grille reflects the brand’s latest design language. The redesigned front bumper, integrated fog lamps and more prominent CUPRA emblem further enhance the vehicle’s sporty character.
At the rear, the SUV features an illuminated CUPRA badge positioned within a full-width light bar connecting the taillights, which incorporate the brand’s distinctive 3D Infinite Light technology. Additional exterior highlights include 19-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails and a sporty rear spoiler.
Built on Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, the Formentor measures 4,451 mm in length, 1,863 mm in width and 1,584 mm in height, while riding on a 2,680 mm wheelbase.
Premium Cabin Technology
Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a premium Sennheiser audio system featuring 11 speakers with a total output of 390 watts. The interior also includes sports seats, a multifunction steering wheel and a three-zone automatic climate control system.
Additional comfort features include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a rear-view camera and a 15W wireless smartphone charger.
Comprehensive Safety Package
Safety equipment includes seven airbags, the XDS electronic differential lock system, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and ISOFIX child-seat mounting points. The vehicle also benefits from forward collision warning systems as well as front and rear parking sensors, reinforcing its focus on occupant protection and everyday usability.
