Many motorists in Egypt are looking for an easy way to check their traffic violations using their National ID without visiting traffic departments. As part of the government's digital transformation strategy, several traffic-related services are now available online, including checking and paying traffic fines, as well as submitting objections electronically. Here's a step-by-step guide, along with information on how to contest traffic violations.

How to Check Traffic Violations Using Your National ID

The Egyptian Public Prosecution offers a range of online services, including the ability to check traffic violations, view outstanding fines, pay them electronically, and submit objections if you believe a violation was issued incorrectly.

To use the service:

Visit the official Egyptian Public Prosecution website.
Select Traffic Violations Inquiry.
Choose Vehicle Violations Inquiry.
Enter your vehicle's license plate details accurately using both numbers and letters.
Enter the vehicle owner's National ID number.
A verification code will be sent to the mobile number registered with the driver's license.
Enter the verification code and click Check Traffic Violations.
Review your violations and complete payment using one of the available electronic payment methods.
If you believe a violation is incorrect, you can submit an objection by providing a brief explanation.
Once reviewed, the fine may be reduced or canceled if the objection is approved.

This service allows motorists to monitor their traffic fines at any time without waiting until their vehicle registration renewal.

How to Submit a Traffic Violation Appeal in 2026

Motorists can also submit traffic violation appeals online through the Egyptian Public Prosecution website or the Digital Egypt platform. Appeals can also be filed in person at the relevant traffic department.

To submit an appeal online:

Log in to the Egyptian Public Prosecution or Digital Egypt portal.
Select Vehicle License Appeals.
Enter the required information and choose the violation you wish to contest.
Specify the reason for your appeal and keep the receipt number for tracking.
Appeals are typically reviewed within 72 business hours.
If the appeal is accepted, the violation will be canceled and no appeal fees will be charged.

Alternatively, motorists can visit the competent traffic department and submit a formal appeal along with supporting documents, including their National ID card, vehicle license, and any evidence related to the objection. The request can then be tracked until an official decision is issued.
