Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the local production of the Nissan Magnite 2026 at Nissan's manufacturing facility in 6th of October City, underscoring the government's efforts to deepen local manufacturing and strengthen the domestic automotive industry.

The compact SUV is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 100 horsepower, paired with an X-TRONIC CVT transmission designed to deliver smooth performance and improved fuel efficiency.

Inside, the Magnite features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety and convenience features include a 360-degree surround-view camera and rear parking sensors.

Madbouly said the start of production represents a strategic milestone for Egypt's automotive sector, noting that the vehicle is being assembled with a local content ratio exceeding 55%. He added that the project supports national efforts to localize vehicle manufacturing and position Egypt as a regional industrial hub.

Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid said the launch reflects Egypt's attractiveness to global investors, while Industry Minister Khaled Hashem highlighted the importance of increasing local content and supporting component suppliers to enhance value creation within the sector.
