Flat6Labs has announced the selection of 27 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to join the fifth cohort of the Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Project (GGJAP), an initiative aimed at supporting businesses developing innovative solutions that promote sustainability and the green economy in Egypt.

Diverse Sectors

The new cohort includes companies operating across a wide range of industries, addressing challenges such as water scarcity in agriculture, sustainable textile manufacturing, industrial efficiency, and other innovative solutions designed to reduce environmental impact and encourage the sustainable use of natural resources.

Selected Companies

The companies joining the accelerator include: Act Sustainable, Agriland Egypt, ARU Group, Aswaneya, Atyan for Sustainable and Technologies, Banana Kingdom, CycleX, Dawaa, Diagonal, Eid Stores, El Fathy Group for Consulting and Energy Management, Farza for Trading, Fishinista, Green Yarn, Greenlizer, Herbanol, HG Eco, Lilian Azer Trade, Mafrooz, Makler Cellutech, Ramaegy, Rebekia, Salahly, Tasle Cosmetics, Technoland for Rain Irrigation, Techy Global, along with one additional company included in the new cohort.

Supporting Sustainable Businesses

The GGJAP accelerator is part of the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP), an initiative of Denmark's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with Flat6Labs and New Silk Roads.

The initiative aims to help Egyptian SMEs adopt more sustainable business practices, create green jobs, and accelerate the country's transition toward a low-carbon economy.
