iSchool has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) to launch a digital skills initiative for children in Cairo's Al Asmarat district, supporting national efforts to reduce child labor through education and technology.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the launch of the Code of Conduct for Regulating Child Training and Employment and the graduation ceremony for participants in a vocational training program.

Supporting Child Labor Prevention Through Education

The partnership is part of the ETEL Egypt project, implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) with support from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) – Cairo Office.

The initiative aims to address child labor by expanding access to sustainable education and vocational training opportunities for children at risk.

AI and Digital Skills Program

Under the agreement, iSchool will launch a Digital Skills Program in Al Asmarat, providing children who are vulnerable to child labor with training in artificial intelligence, technology, and digital skills.

The program is designed to equip participants with future-ready capabilities, broaden their educational opportunities, and help prepare them for careers in the digital economy.

Creating Better Opportunities for Children

iSchool said the partnership reflects its belief that tackling child labor requires more than legislation and regulations. The company emphasized that providing access to education, technology, and digital skills creates meaningful alternatives for children, enabling them to build brighter futures and actively participate in the growing digital economy.
