Egypt’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) has signed a letter of intent with EXBY to establish a strategic partnership aimed at helping export-ready businesses expand into international markets through artificial intelligence and advanced digital solutions.

The initiative forms part of MSMEDA’s broader efforts to provide integrated financial and technical support to entrepreneurs, while strengthening the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Egypt’s export sector and overall economy.

Bassel Rahmy, Chief Executive Officer of MSMEDA, said the partnership reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing the export capabilities of SMEs and increasing their contribution to economic growth. He added that collaboration with the private sector remains a key pillar in achieving these objectives.

AI-Powered Export Support

Under the agreement, EXBY’s AI-driven platform will help businesses identify export opportunities, understand regulatory requirements in target markets, analyze competitors, and gain insights into consumer behavior, enabling more informed export decisions.

The cooperation will also focus on improving product quality and strengthening the competitiveness of Egyptian goods to meet international market standards.

Financial and Technical Assistance

MSMEDA will continue providing financial and technical support to eligible manufacturing and production businesses, helping them expand operations, improve efficiency, and comply with global quality requirements.

For his part, Ahmed Atlam, Founder and Chairman of EXBY, said the partnership marks an important step toward preparing Egyptian SMEs for international expansion and increasing their share of the country’s exports.

The agreement also includes a pilot program designed to help participating businesses complete their first export transactions, alongside plans to integrate EXBY’s technology with MSMEDA’s digital platform and deliver workshops and awareness programs on export readiness and global market opportunities.
